I just had to post this picture! This look says, "I been doing hood rat stuff with my friends!"
Stay tuned......Beach pictures will be posted soon!
Where, oh where, did my baby go? As I look through Zane's eight month pictures, I can't seem to find my baby....all I see is this little boy. I feel like I'm back in the fifth grade, at Crystal Palace (the skating rink in El Dorado where all the cool kids had their birthday parties), skating along, going too fast, and as I point my toes down to apply the 'brakes'....you know, the little rubber thing on the front of the skate.....well, it's NOT THERE! I'm skating out of control and I can't slow down!
The monkey to Zane's left is Frankie. Morgan, Matt's cousin, made him at Build-a-Bear and brought him to the hospital the day that Zane was born. Insert random thought here: there was a big storm the day Zane was born...I hate storms. The sky was black. But guess what my aunts saw when they walked out of the hospital? Not one, but TWO rainbows! I think someone upstairs was happy with His latest creation!
Bless Amy's heart (Sara's childhood/college friend & my blogger friend)...she bounced Zane to sleep for me. He was sitting straight up in her lap when he fell asleep and she was terrified to move him. We did eventually move him to a more comfortable position. She's got two little boys, so her mommy experience was no match for Zane!
That's Kara Dell (I love that our names rhyme). She put some kind of magic potion on Zane and got him to take a nap. On this day, DeeDee and Skeet had gone out of town, so Zane was staying with Nana Lynn, Uncle Bo Joe, and Mama Doot. We were pretty sure we wouldn't have any trouble finding someone to watch Zane while I was at work, and apparently we found about 13 someones! When I picked him up after work (at 9pm), I was surprised to find, not only those three, but also Kara, KayeKaye, Greg, and Jake all there! And that's just half of the "baby sitters" Zane had that day! I think Morgan had been there all day! Craig, Dana, and some neighbors also came by. Actually, I'm not surprised that he had gathered such a crowd...the boy knows how to arouse some attention!
