Happy Valentine's Day!
Mom,
I hope you are proud of me today. You took me shopping for the first time and you seemed a little nervous....but I slept the whole time! Dad got you some pretty awesome jeans for Valentine's Day and you seemed to really like the red & white roses that I got you (I hope you don't mind that I charged them to you.) Tell Aunt Lindsey thanks for my special Valentine-edition Mr. Potato Head, Miss Lauran thanks for my Valentine outfit, and Aunt Lynn thanks for my Valentine monkey! I must be a pretty special boy.
Love,
Zane

he's so popular...
This past weekend Zane and I took our first trip south to see the family. He was a pretty popular guy! His Pops (my dad) has already got him a horse! I asked if it was a Shetland pony and my dad said, "No, it's a manly horse. A paint horse." Me: "Oh, what's it's name?" Pops: "Valentine." Real manly dad....Valentine? It made me laugh. I'm sure Zane will LOVE having his very own horse and I can't wait until he's big enough to really enjoy going to my parents house....riding the horse, checking the cows, riding on the tractor.....of course, Nana Beth (my mom) made sure he got lots of kisses!
This is Zane's great-grandmother, Mammaw Alice. She made us some yummy chicken gumbo on Saturday...my fave!
I just had to include this pic...look at that mouth!
Getting things done
Please ignore the facts that yes, I have on pink pajamas with monkeys on them, and no, I haven't combed my hair! Just wanted to share this. If you have a little one, get a Kelty Kids carrier! I got mine from a friend at one of my showers and tried it for the first time today. I wasn't sure if he was big enough for it yet, but he is! It's a miracle! He was so fussy and just wanted me to carry him around bouncing him....he loves to bounce. Anyway, I put him in here, walked around doing some chores, and ta-da! ASLEEP in seconds!

One month pic
So I'm way behind....can't seem to find much time to get on the computer these days! Here are a few pics from Zane's one month birthday. He's growing so fast! And I'm not sure why he looks so scared in this picture (maybe it has something to do with the crazy lady behind the camera), but it's almost impossible to get a good picture because we're still working on our head control!
Look, Mom! I can make a monkey face!
